My Flashback and Concern for OCDian's

Firstly, I'll start with a small poem:
Have great ability,
To bring up your vitality.Have guts to face reality,
And advise people to share equality,
Thereby achieving tranquility.
Gain the at most possibility,
To strengthen up your probability,In order to become a super famous personality,
But --- don’t forget about humanity.
[the grammar in the above poem could be further corrected as I'm not a guru in using it aptly. And also it has a continuous AAAA AAAA rhyming. There's no category for this kind of poem, I suppose. So, is it a poem???Whatever, okay,um...go on... start reading the next sentence]
Now, lemme make you think for a while by this sentence- '' I use no comma, only full stop and this can be seen in reality.''Though comma plays a predominant role in literary contexts, but full stop plays a very vital role in my life. It's related to me mentally and emotionally, and applied practically in my life, before I start any new topic dramatically. This may be a little confusing for you ,but if you proceed further, then there is some humor: One fine day, I started on my bicycle in- my 10th- and I went on a smooth ride. While going, I saw a temple, and spirituality in me has aroused to such an extent like the lava coming out from the volcano with great force, and I wasn't able to control myself. I left my hands from the handles and legs from the paddles, and prayed to god through some physical actions. Meanwhile, I tried to balance my cycle, but unfortunately the road was erratic .Finally, I fell down and was badly hurt. I've broken my two limbs:(*** This was not my weakness or any kind of stupidity, in fact a strong factor has dominated in my former and latter cases. If you wonder what was the cause, then it's my pleasure to introduce you this topic of O.C.D-Obsessive Compulsive Disorder[you may be already familiar with this, but here, it's my OCD]
My Experiences:
Former Case:Suddenly a negative thought persisted in my mind that I should write a small poem by using some creativity and rhyming, otherwise I would be killed instantly. Consecutively, I'd developed a positive thought and approved the condition. Then I started, but didn't know where to end. Finally, I ended at humanity with a full stop[obvious], and the reason is that my persistent thoughts became equipoise and got nullified. Fortunately, my poem[I suppose] has got some meaning. Therefore, I'd mentioned earlier that '.' plays a very important role, as to end anything amidst. Anyway,I'll leave it to you, for further probe if possible...
Latter Case:I remembered what my social studies madam told me in my 5th, when she taught ''Heritage of India'', and referred to old monuments and temples which were of historical importance. She told me, '' Vinith, my child! No need to visit a temple and pray to god.Even if you do that from outside, but with a pure heart, then your prayers will surely reach the almighty.''***Actually, a new negative thought evolved in my mind[to flicker my fate].It compelled me to pray to god and I did it ensuing some physical actions. And then, as mentioned earlier...
/\!
So, these persistent thoughts, images or can be even impulses are called as 'obsessions' and they give rise to certain physical actions- 'compulsions' and hence the disorder-''Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.'' But, this is not a fatal one. I'm having this problem since I was eight, but I'd realized it recently. There are a few treatments to eradicate this disorder. Apart from the preventive measures, you must also have a strong will power and a stable mind to control yourself[according to me].I myself did not get any kind of treatment. My only intention is to make you conversant with this kind of abnormal behavior in some individuals like me, and among those with whom even you may share a similar platform. Personally, what I feel is having struck by this disorder a decade before, it gives me a different kind of outlook. If your case is also extreme, and if at all you need some treatment, then don't hesitate to consult doctor or a psychiatrist nearby.
And below is some more information about OCD browsed by me from http://health.med.umich.edu/healthcontent.cfm?xyzpdqabc=0&id=6&action=detail&AEProductID=HW_Knowledgebase&AEArticleID=hw169097
What causes OCD?
Experts don't know the exact cause of obsessive-compulsive disorder. Research suggests that there may be a problem with the way one part of the brain sends information to another part. Not having enough of a brain chemical called serotonin may help cause the problem.
Some experts believe that a problem related to infections, such as strep throat or scarlet fever, can suddenly bring on the disorder or make its symptoms worse in some children.
What are the symptoms?
Symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder tend to come and go over time and range from mild to severe. Anxiety is the most common symptom. For example, you may have an overall sense that something terrible will happen if you don't do a certain task, such as check again and again to see whether the stove is on. If you fail to check, you may suddenly feel tense or anxious or have a nagging sense that you left something undone.
Symptoms of the disorder include:
Obsessions- These are unwanted thoughts, ideas, and impulses that you have again and again. They won't go away. They get in the way of your normal thoughts and cause anxiety or fear. The thoughts may be sexual or violent, or they may make you worry about illness or infection. Examples include:
A fear of harm to yourself or a loved one,A driving need to do things perfectly or correctly, A fear of getting dirty or infected, et cetera.
Compulsions- These are behaviors that you repeat to try to control the obsessions. Some people have behaviors that are rigid and structured, while others have very complex behaviors that change. Examples include: Washing or checking that something has been done,
Counting, often while doing another compulsive action, such as hand-washing; Repeating things or always moving items to keep them in perfect order,Hoarding, Praying, et cetera.
The obsessions or compulsions usually take up a lot of time—more than 1 hour a day. They greatly interfere with your normal routine at work or school, and they affect social activities and relationships.
Sometimes people may understand that their obsessions and compulsions are not real. But at other times they may not be sure, or they may believe strongly in their fears.
How is OCD diagnosed?
Your doctor can check for obsessive-compulsive disorder by asking about your symptoms and your past health. He or she may also do a physical exam. It’s important to talk to your doctor if you think you have OCD. Many people with the disorder go without treatment because they are afraid or embarrassed to talk to a doctor.
How is it treated?
Treatment includes medicines and counseling. Using both often works best.
Antidepressant medicines called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) are most commonly used. Examples of these medicines include Prozac and Zoloft. You may begin to feel better in about 1 to 3 weeks after you start taking medicine. But it can take as long as 6 to 8 weeks to see more improvement. If you have concerns about your medicine, or if you do not start to feel better by 3 weeks, talk to your doctor. He or she may increase the dose or change to a different medicine.
Counseling for the disorder includes a type of cognitive-behavioral therapy called exposure and response prevention. This therapy slowly increases your contact with the thing that causes worries or false beliefs. For example, if you were worried about getting germs from things you touch, you would touch an object you believe has germs and then not wash your hands afterward. You would keep doing that until you could do it without feeling anxious. This can be hard at first. But with the help of a counselor, this therapy can reduce your symptoms over time.
Other cognitive therapy may also help change the false beliefs that lead to OCD behaviors.
Note to the Reader:If you are a psychiatrist or a doctor, or if you know more about OCD, then I'm ready to accept any advices from you.If you feel that I've made any mistake in this post , then please inform me.
